Pilates classes - on hold

The last Pilates class will be tonight, 10/23. Group Pilates classes will not take place October 28 - December 2. Thursday classes will resume only December 4 - 18, and begin after the New Year.

Pilates for Pink Effort & Outcome

Pilates for Pink at Up Stretch Pilates Studio raised $795 for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. A special "thank you" owed to Alice McElwain who donated Brueggers bagels and cream cheeses to share with the Saturday morning class participants and to Andrea Lentz, Tarot Card Reader, who came out from 10am-1pm and contributed 100% of her readings to the charity.

Thank you to everyone who came out and enjoyed class, the raffle drawing, and donated for this worthwhile cause. The outcome greatly surpassed my expectations and I hope to make next year just as if not more successful and fun, too!

Pilates for Pink Class on 10/14

Last night we had an incredible turnout for the Pilates for Pink class and Chinese Auction fundraiser that raised consciouness and funds for The Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Class was fun and challenging, we had all levels, beginners to advanced participants. It was such a pleasure to work with everyone.
Prizes were awarded and appreciated by all who attended and contributed. We raised vital funds for continuing to research for a cure for Breast Cancer. I don't have a final count, but I suspect we doubled last years fundraising effort, which was $312 for the BCRF. I'm so greatful to have had the support of my colleagues at the gym, especially wish to recognize Tiffney who volunteered her time to help set a small space right outside the aerobics room for my event, decorate and add balloons to add to the festivities.
We have 1 more class to fill, Saturday, October 18 at 10:30am has about 8 spots remaining and we'd love to have you come out. After class, we'll be able to snack on bagels and cream cheese provided by Alice McElwain from Brueggers Bagels.

The BCRF & Pilates for Pink Events

Better late than never, now you can use the BCRF "donate now" button on the side of the blog to submit your donate via credit card. Use this feature for Pilates for Pink classes, the fundraiser raffle, or to just donate. If you use it for any Pilates for Pink event, make sure to check your email - that you get a confirmation letter and print out to bring with you or email that letter of receipt to lisa@upstretchpilates.com.

Any amount is considered important to raise consciousness and fund research to find a cure for Breast Cancer. Thank you for joining in my fight for a cure!

Pittsburgh Goes Pilates for Pink Tonight

Please check in a few minutes before 7pm tonight and get your last chance at raffle tickets for the Chinese Auction drawing taking place right after class. Prizes will be on display prior to class. Bring a towel and mat with you if you have one, and water will be available following our workout. Class will be about 50 minutes.

Tuesday Pilates for Pink - Full! Thank you!

Although the Tuesday night class is full, you are always invited to the Xango Mangosteen Juice Sampling and CHinese Auction drawing at 8:00 PM, following the class. You may even get a lucky empty spot in class if you walk-in at 7:05, and it happens that someone who signed up doesn't come in. Babysitting will be available that evening, you just have to check in first at the front desk and visit the childcare room prior to class, so arrive a few minutes early.
